Key Responsibilities:
- Annual Budget Development: Lead the process of developing and managing the department’s annual budget.
- Strategic Planning: Formulate and recommend long-term planning goals to enhance department efficiency and performance.
- Team Supervision: Oversee and guide terminal employees, ensuring they meet departmental standards and expectations.
- Daily Task Management: Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring optimal productivity and quality.
- Performance Evaluation: Maintain and implement an effective performance evaluation system to assess employee progress and areas for improvement.
- Capital Expenditures: Research and recommend capital expenditures to improve terminal operations.
- Benchmark Setting: Assist with the development of benchmark standards for job performance and costing analysis.
- Team Communication: Foster an environment of open communication with all team members to promote collaboration and a positive work culture.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a management role with 5+ years of related work experience or training.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in computer use, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy equipment operations and maintenance.
- Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
